Super Yacht Visit

For an owners private cruise visiting the Galapagos park protected areas with guests on board.

Two permits needed

1.- Yacht entry Government authorization called ¨ AUTOGRAFO ¨ this authorization is given by Ministry of Defense of Ecuador. It is recommended to start this permit arrangements two months before you arrive in Galapagos

2.- Authorization for the Yacht to visit the Galapagos National Park Protected areas under a specific itinerary visiting the pristine and remote visitor protected sites. It is mandatory to have a naturalist park guide on board during the park cruise into the protected areas.

Documents needed to start this permit process:

• All crew and guests scan copy of passports
• Yacht Certificate of registry as a ¨ PLEASURE YACHT ¨
• Yacht´s P & I insurance

Scientific Vessel Visit

Sea Masters specializes on this complex and special permit. Vessels willing to achieve science missions into the park protected areas or the Galapagos Marine reserve will need the following permits:

• Galapagos National Park Science activity approval
• Ecuador Navy Oceanographic Institute Science activity approval
• Ministry of defense of Ecuador vessel entry authorization. It is recommended to start these special permit arrangements 6 months before the vessel arrives in Galapagos

The protocols demand that Navy and park observers live on board for the duration of the scientific activities.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Sails boats, Yachts and all vessels must get in the last port a valid FUMIGATION CERTIFICATE and a CLEAN HULL CERTIFICATE, hull must be clean free of marine growth of plants and animals. Our quarantine system goal is to avoid the introduction of new marine aggressive species to the Galapagos Ecosystem

Media Projects

Documentaries and Photography Permits

Sea Masters and associates specialize on this complex MEDIA permits. Arrangements for these projects involve special approvals from our National Park authority. The whole project must comply with our park protocols and regulations. The film crews may even have access to the most remote areas of the islands where regular tourist cannot go. Media projects may link to science activities. For several of our media projects, in the last years we have organized the legal use of submarines, helicopters, ROVs, drones. We have acted as legal local representative for National Geographic and have also assist BBC, Blue Planet film, UR Sweeten, ALUCIA Productions.

A 30 + day stop

Multiple ports with an Autografo to visit San Cristobal, Santa Cruz and Isabela islands will need the following permit:

Emergency Stop – 72 Hours

Every boat has the right to request through a yacht agency an emergency stop for the Galapagos ports mainly for serious mechanical problems or medical reasons. The authorities in the Galapagos are very strict therefore upon arrival the Navy authority will inspect your boat and the harbor master would decide the reality of the emergency.
